FEBRUARY IAS MEETING – Thursday, February 13th, 2019
7 pm in Ascension’s Community Center; doors open at 6:30 pm to set up
PLEASE NOTE: We will be meeting the SECOND Thursday of February rather than the first due to a scheduling conflict beyond our control at Ascension. However, this makes for a nice combo VALENTINE’S DAY / LEAP YEAR program, since we will be showing the cute family-friendly romantic comedy LEAP YEAR starring Amy Adams!
The film is set mostly in Ireland, where it was filmed on location. The movie is 1 hour and 41 minutes long; we will start it at 7 and then will do a brief intermission midway to draw raffle tickets for this month’s fantastic raffle prizes!!! The film’s premise is that there is an Irish tradition which allows women to ask men to marry them on a leap year. Ladies, this IS a leap year, I might point out…
During the Leap Year movie, we will be taking 2020 IAS annual dues & membership forms, selling EMERALD BALL tickets, and selling raffle tickets. The Cash Donation Bar will be available, plus please bring treats to share.
