PLEASE NOTE: We just learned Ascension will be running a homeless shelter the first week of August in our usual meeting place, so the IAS meeting this month will be held in the COMMONS AREA at the front of the church. Park near the front and enter through the front doors of the church. The #1 item homeless people need, I have read, is new clean socks, so let’s do a SOCK DRIVE at our meeting for them. If you want to donate a pair of new socks (men’s, women’s, or children’s), bring them, and I will have a donation box for us to put them in.
Our program this month is a SPEED BLARNEY GAME! I promise this will be a painless and fun way for us to all get to know more about each other! Shy? Introverted? Considering joining but not sure yet? Want to connect with more people? Been gone for a while and no longer know the membership? Enjoy finding out what you have in common with people? If you answered yes to ANY of these questions, YOU REALLY NEED TO COME TO THIS MEETING!!!
Doors will open at 6:30pm; a BRIEF business meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. If you want to bring a treat to share, please do! After the business meeting, these refreshments will be available in the coffee area, and then we will play the game in the commons area!
