At our May 7th meeting, Edward will present a brief PPT on the IAS budget and our various monthly and annual IAS activities. He had planned to present this information to the membership at the March meeting, but Mother Nature had other plans!
We will also present a PPT on the local Camogie team, Cumann na mBan, just to fill the IAS in on our progress during the first six months. We will have a few special raffle items to help CnamB raise money for their team jerseys.
We will also have a SPRING COOK OFF at the May meeting, this time with MAPLE SYRUP being the featured ingredient! Out of respect for my Canadian husband, please only use pure maple syrup, not any maple flavoring or fake maple syrup! 😉 To be in the cooking contest, the dish you bring MUST feature pure maple syrup, it must be homemade by you, and you must bring the recipe with you. Both sweet and savory dishes are eligible. Entries will be judged and a prize will be awarded during the meeting!
Don’t forget about ceili dancing before the meeting! I think it’s a safe bet we’ll be dancing the Sweets of May and perhaps also the Bonfire Dance from 6:15-7:00 pm! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes to dance. No experience or partners required, and all ages are welcome to participate!
Ceili dancing will start at 6:15 pm and end at 7 pm; a brief business meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. After the business meeting, refreshments will be available, and then we will present the program.
You don’t have to be an official member to attend. The more the merrier – bring a friend! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! 🙂
