Michael Waugh, owner of Wild West Irish Tours, will present, “The Waters and the Wild”, a music and video presentation about the magical places, music, dance, and people of the West of Ireland, where he lives for 6 months a year providing tours in “The Land of Heart’s Desire.”

Don’t miss what promises to be a great program from someone who used to live in Tidewater and was active in the local Celtic community then!

ALSO, several of our talented local Irish step dancers (Lisa Lisa Hunt Burgess, Maggie Wilcox, & Anne-Bernadette Dail) will be teaching a FREE Irish Ceili Dance Class for us before the meeting! Please be there in comfortable shoes and clothes ready to have a good time from 6:15-7:00 pm if you have any interest in Irish social dancing! This is for all ages from the wee ones to the young-at-heart. NO PARTNER OR PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!!! Bring friends to join in the fun!

Ceili dancing will start at 6:15 pm and end at 7 pm; a brief business meeting will begin at 7:00 pm. After the business meeting, refreshments will be available, and then we will present the program.

You don’t have to be an official member to attend. The more the merrier – bring a friend! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! 🙂

FYI: PICK UP A GREAT IRISH GIFT FOR YOUR SPECIAL VALENTINE — OR FOR ANYONE WHO LOVES IRISH MUSIC AND CULTURE!!! 10 copies of the Beautiful People Irish traditional seisiun documentary are available; PICK A COUPLE UP FOR FANTASTIC GIFTS! We need to get these sold so we can reimburse the producer for them.

Don’t forget that the DVD comes with a separate CD with the sound track, recorded live at Dempsey’s, on it! Great value to get the DVD and the CD both for $25! Check out these great trad tunes!
