Cumann na mBan CAMOGIE team Silent Auction & Fundraiser Party!

camogie helmets_1984533000141285099_nPlease come out to support the new Cumann na mBan (League of Women) CAMOGIE team in our first fundraiser since the group formed in fall 2014! Camogie is the women’s version of Hurling, the ancient IRISH hurley (stick) and sliotar (ball) field sport also known as “the fastest game on grass”!

Our Camogie team desperately needs SAFETY HELMETS and other equipment in order to do more advanced drills, be able to scrimmage, and eventually compete against other Camogie teams. We are therefore holding a Silent Auction & Fundraiser Party to try to raise the funds for a team set of safety helmets.

  • Saturday
  • at 4:30pm – 8:30pm
  • Murphy’s Virginia Beach
  • 2914 Pacific Ave, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451

The evening promises to be very fun, so please join us! Bring friends, and bring your wallets and get some bids in! Help the Camogie team out by buying something – and have a really fun time while you are at it! Here are some of the items that will be sold:

• gift certificates
• gift baskets
• jewelry
• original artwork
• handcrafts
• homemade baked goods
• Irish gear
• and more!

If you’d like to take advantage of Murphy’s HAPPY HOUR prices, get there early! You should also get there early if you want to get a table close to the stage.

Glasgow Kiss will be playing live Celtic music from 5-6 pm and from 7-8 pm. All money that goes in the Song Request Jar will be donated to the Camogie team for the cause!

Murphy’s is offering a special 3-course fixed-price meal they created just for this event! The cost is $15 per person, NOT including bar drinks, tax, or tip. Coffee/tea/soda ARE included in the $15 price.

The Silent Auction will open for bidding at 6 pm. Bidding ends at 8 pm, at which time the winners will be announced and money collected.

The fun doesn’t end then, though – please feel free to stay and party with the Camogie team! Don Bunch will be playing more Irish music for rest of night!
