If you’ve never seen a hurling match before, you have been missing out on the ancient and exciting warrior sport that the Gaels of Ireland have been playing for over THREE THOUSAND YEARS!!! Hurling is still one of the two national sports of Ireland, and the National Championships are bigger to them than the Super Bowl is to us. Many modern stick games derive from hurling; check out this video about hurling, known as “the fastest game on grass” for more info about how it is played!
