This was so much fun last year that we are doing it again! In honor of the season, we will be organizing a program for the kiddos prior to our business meeting, and a program for the adults after our business meeting. Please note the early start time for the children’s activities. You don’t have to be an official member to attend. The more the merrier – bring a friend! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! 🙂
FOR THE KIDS – Seasonal activities for the little ones will begin at 6:15 pm and end at 7:00 pm. Please feel free to bring your kids, your nieces & nephews, your grandkids, etc. We will have traditional bobbing for apples, a pinata, face painting, and a pumpkin decorating contest. You can carve the pumpkins, draw on the pumpkins, and/or attach decorations to the pumpkins, as long as at least some of the work is done by the child entering the pumpkin in the contest. Please have the pumpkins decorated BEFORE you arrive! 🙂 We’ll make a “pumpkin patch” with all the entries, get a picture of the kids in the pumpkin patch, and announce the winners during the business meeting.
FOR THE ADULTS – At 7:00 pm, we will have a brief business meeting, followed by the adult activities. There will be a short seasonal program on three adult beverages quite popular in Ireland: hard cider, mead, and beer! Our Jr. VP JJ John L. Johnson will be educating us about WHEAT BEER this year!
Afterward, we will have a sampling table. PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST DONATE A BEVERAGE TO THE SAMPLING TABLE IN ORDER TO PARTAKE OF THE SAMPLING TABLE!!! PLEASE BRING YOUR FAVORITE WHEAT BEER, HARD APPLE CIDER, OR HONEY MEAD TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE SAMPLING TABLE!!! We will provide sampling cups and the sample pouring staff.
