We are having an IAS tent in Clan Row at the CENTRAL VIRGINIA CELTIC FESTIVAL & HIGHLAND GAMES again, so please come on up and make it your “homebase” whether you come for the day or the whole weekend! We plan to march with our banners in the Parade of Clans on Saturday afternoon as well, so join us! Wear IAS jerseys, sweatshirts, or sashes if you have them!
We will be near the top of Clan Row with our sister-organization, the Irish American Society of Richmond! Our good friends in the Irish Wolfhound Association of the Mid South will be there again this year, too, so make sure to look for them and say hi!
It’s always a fun weekend, rain or shine, hot or cold — just dress for the weather, because the entire event is outside. You can get tickets at the gate, but they are cheaper in advance. Gates open at 9 am on both days; they close at 6 pm on Saturday and at 5 pm on Sunday.
Don’t miss the fun! Some great Celtic bands will be playing on the main stage, there will be excellent Celtic food and gift vendors, you can watch Irish and Scottish dancers compete, the Scottish heavy athletics and pipe bands will be competing, and Guinness and Irish coffee and other delicious beverages are available there for purchase.
